Time Restorer Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of Time Restorer. By downloading, accessing, or using the app, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use Time Restorer.

1. The Service

Time Restorer uses artificial intelligence to restore photographs: colorizing black-and-white images, enhancing and repairing faces, upscaling and removing noise, and repairing scratches, folds, tears, and stains. Restoration is probabilistic. Results may be inaccurate, may not match the original scene, may alter details or features of the people depicted, and are not guaranteed to be historically faithful. Time Restorer is not a professional archival or forensic restoration service and is not a substitute for consulting a conservator for irreplaceable originals. Always keep your original photograph.

2. Eligibility, Accounts, and Content

You must be legally able to enter into these Terms and meet the minimum age required in your location. You are responsible for activity under your account. You may only submit photographs that you own or that you have permission to use and modify. Photographs often depict other people, and sometimes children; by submitting one you confirm that you have the right to do so and, where required, the consent of the people shown. Do not upload content that is unlawful, infringing, hateful, sexually exploitative, or that you do not have permission to use. You retain ownership of the photographs you submit. You grant us a limited license to process them only as needed to operate, secure, and improve the service and to comply with law.

3. Free Allowance and Pro Subscriptions

New users receive a free starter allowance of restorations. Pro plans provide a recurring allowance that refreshes each week, month, or year depending on the plan.

Local currency, taxes, and the final price are shown by the Apple App Store or Google Play before you confirm. Unless you cancel, a subscription automatically renews for the same period at the price shown by the store. Apple or Google charges your payment method when you confirm and again within 24 hours before each renewal, unless applicable store rules or local law provide otherwise. Cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends to avoid the next charge. Manage or cancel in your Apple or Google subscription settings. Unused recurring allowances reset at the end of each period and do not carry over. Canceling a subscription does not delete your account; deleting your account does not automatically cancel a store subscription.

Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies. We may change plans or prices with notice where required; a change will not affect a period already paid for unless the store or law permits it.

4. Ads and Availability

Free users may see advertising. Third-party services and AI providers may be unavailable, delayed, rate-limited, or changed. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features, but will not intentionally remove paid access without an appropriate remedy required by law.

5. Acceptable Use

• Do not submit photographs of other people without their permission.
• Do not bypass quotas, App Check, authentication, payment, or technical limits.
• Do not reverse engineer, scrape, resell, or use the service to build a competing dataset or service.
• Do not use Time Restorer to create misleading, defamatory, or deceptive material, including altered images presented as authentic records of real people or events.
• Do not use Time Restorer to violate law or harm others.

6. Intellectual Property and Feedback

Time Restorer, its branding, software, and service materials are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by law. These Terms grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the app. If you send feedback, you permit us to use it without restriction or compensation.

7. Disclaimers and Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ACCURACY, FIDELITY, FITNESS, MERCHANTABILITY, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR UNINTERRUPTED AVAILABILITY. WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOSS OF ORIGINAL PHOTOGRAPHS, LOSS OF DATA, OR RELIANCE ON A RESTORED IMAGE. WHERE LIABILITY CANNOT BE EXCLUDED, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR US$50. NOTHING IN THESE TERMS LIMITS RIGHTS THAT CANNOT BE WAIVED UNDER APPLICABLE LAW.

8. Termination and Deletion

You may stop using Time Restorer at any time and may delete your account in Account > Delete Account. We may suspend access for material violation, fraud, legal risk, or security reasons. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive.

9. Apple and Google

For Apple users, these Terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content and has no obligation to provide maintenance or support. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you. Your use of the app must also comply with the Apple Media Services Terms and the standard Apple EULA, as applicable. For Google Play users, Google's terms also apply to your use of Google Play and its billing services.

10. Changes, Governing Terms, and Contact

We may update these Terms and will post a new effective date. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms. These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to the service provider, without overriding mandatory consumer rights. If a provision is unenforceable, the rest remains effective.
